U16 Boys Win Palm Beach Cup
The West Florida Flames 96/97 Boys Blue team captured the U16 championship at the Palm Beach Cup. The boys left it late for a 2- 1 victory in their second game with a penalty kick in the final minute of the match. An undefeated run in group play saw them through to the finals and a 3-1 victory over the Boynton Beach Knights would claim the championship for the Flames. Congratulations to the 96/97 boys on a great tournament weekend!
U16 Flames Battle to Win Final
Jacob Goodall’s sensational free kick in overtime would be the difference in a 2-1 victory over Real Madrid. Jake Van der Luit opened the scoring for the Flames in a hard fought match. The boys left it all on the field and were rewarded for their efforts with the 2013 Florida Cup title and a berth in National Cup XII in Aurora, CO. Congrats to the U16 boys.
Flames U17 Girls Win Florida Cup
West Florida Flames U17 girls added another accomplishment to their already impressive soccer resumes by bringing home the 2013 Florida Cup title. The Flames would score two and post a shutout against fellow ECNL club Orlando City in the Final. Congratulations to the U17 Flames.
98/99 Girls Crowned Florida Cup Champions
When the final whistle blew for the West Florida Flames U14 girls, the Florida Cup Championship belonged to them. A 2-1 win over FC America behind two goals from Taylor Morgan propelled the Flames to the title and a berth in the National Cup XII in Aurora, CO. Congratulations to the 98/99 girls on this achievement.
