After an exciting round of semifinal games at the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex, two Flames teams will be playing tomorrow in the FYSA State Cup Championship match. The U17 boys advanced with a goal in the final second of the match to advance past TBU by a 2-1 margin and will be playing West Pines United at 11:00. Another matchup with TBU saw the U17 girls emerge victorious by a score a 2-0. The U17 girls Championship match will be streaming live at http://new.livestream.com/FYSALIVE/events/1780505 as they take on FC America at 8:30 am. The West Florida Flames continue their hunt for the FYSA State Cup Championship this weekend in Auburndale. The Flames U17 girls, as well as, the U17 and U18 boys have semifinal match ups today at the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex. With a win, they will play in the final the following day. The Flames U19 girls will also be in Auburndale this weekend starting their opening round group play. Congratulations to all the Flames teams. The West Florida Flames 96/97 Boys Blue team captured the U16 championship at the Palm Beach Cup. The boys left it late for a 2- 1 victory in their second game with a penalty kick in the final minute of the match. An undefeated run in group play saw them through to the finals and a 3-1 victory over the Boynton Beach Knights would claim the championship for the Flames. Congratulations to the 96/97 boys on a great tournament weekend!

The West Florida Flames U18 boys ended their youth soccer careers on a high note, reaching the 2013 Florida Cup Finals after a great run of form. A tough 2-1 semifinal victory propelled the boys into the final. Short-handed, the boys dropped a narrow result to IMG in the final. The club wishes you all the best in your future endeavors and congratulates you all on an outstanding soccer career. Flames players are members for life and will always be your home.

Jacob Goodall’s sensational free kick in overtime would be the difference in a 2-1 victory over Real Madrid. Jake Van der Luit opened the scoring for the Flames in a hard fought match. The boys left it all on the field and were rewarded for their efforts with the 2013 Florida Cup title and a berth in National Cup XII in Aurora, CO. Congrats to the U16 boys.

West Florida Flames U17 girls added another accomplishment to their already impressive soccer resumes by bringing home the 2013 Florida Cup title. The Flames would score two and post a shutout against fellow ECNL club Orlando City in the Final. Congratulations to the U17 Flames.

They may have needed overtime, but the West Florida Flames U15 girls scored in each overtime to take home the Florida Cup Championship by a final score of 2-0. The Flames will advance to Colorado for the National Cup Finals in June. Congratulations to the Flames U15 girls.

When the final whistle blew for the West Florida Flames U14 girls, the Florida Cup Championship belonged to them. A 2-1 win over FC America behind two goals from Taylor Morgan propelled the Flames to the title and a berth in the National Cup XII in Aurora, CO. Congratulations to the 98/99 girls on this achievement.

The West Florida Flames U11 Girls team was out in force at the 1st Annual Army GI JOG 5K held on Saturday, May 11, 2013 in Ybor City.  The race was held to raise money for the 238th Army Ball at Macdill AFB.  The U11 girls took the TOP 3 spots in the U18 Female Division. Fellow Flames members Jacob McDonald and Jarod Hendrix also had great outings at the race. Congratulations to the Flames members.

The West Florida Flames U12 Boys captured the Adidas Cup U12 11v11 Division Championship after a 3-0 win over the Clearwater Chargers. The Flames had an undefeated run en route to the title. Congratulations to Coach Alex Myers and the U12 Boys.

VSI West FL Flames (Brandon) ended the season on a high note with a pair of commanding victories. The Florida squad topped Orlando City YS 6-2 on Saturday thanks to a pair of goals from Meme Morgan. Peyton Smith, Hannah Roth, Meredith Manson, and Lauren Evans also scored for VSI. The two teams met again on Sunday, and VSI came out victorious 4-0 behind goals from Manson, Morgan, Smith, and Addison Ura. Click here for full article
